A gym website: timetable, memberships and a free trial
A gym site has to say three things: which classes at what time, what a membership costs and how to try for free. A timetable in a table, prices in the open, medical certificates out of the form.
A gym site has to say three things: which classes run and at what time, what a membership costs and how to try for free. If the timetable cannot be read on a phone at 19:40, standing in the weights room, that person joins somewhere else.
There are two audiences looking for different things. People not yet members search for «gym near me» and check photos, prices and evening class times. Existing members come back for the current timetable, the rules and holiday changes. A site that speaks only to new joiners ages in a week.
Class timetable: an HTML table, not an image
A timetable pasted in as an image cannot be read without zooming, does not get indexed and cannot be copied into a message. You need a real table, one column per day, the time in text, the class name and the room. Changes go above the table with a date, not buried in a social media post.
| What | Right format | When it changes |
|---|---|---|
| Class timetable | Table on the page, with room and instructor | At every change, with a visible date |
| Prices | Prices in the open: joining fee, monthly, annual | At every price change |
| Instructors | Card with certifications and classes taught | When someone joins or leaves |
| Rules | A text page, linked from the footer | Once a year, with a date |
| Closures and holidays | Notice at the top of the home page | Before the closure |
Prices: three entries, not one
An Italian gym membership almost always has three parts: a one-off joining fee, a monthly or annual fee, and sometimes a card or locker. Showing the monthly figure alone is the first cause of an argument at reception. The price page must say what is included, meaning classes, gym floor, showers and locker, how long the contract lasts, how to cancel, and whether renewal is automatic.
Medical certificate: what you may ask for online
A sports fitness certificate is health data: it must not be uploaded through a web form or sent by ordinary email. Collect it at the desk, or over an encrypted channel with explicit consent and a dedicated notice, as article 9 of the GDPR requires. The site states one clear line: when it is needed, who issues it and how to hand it in.
Structured data: HealthClub and the offers
The HealthClub type describes the facility, with name, address, coordinates, phone, opening hours in openingHoursSpecification, priceRange and areaServed. Memberships can be described with Offer and PriceSpecification, one per plan. If you run an open day, that is an Event with a date and place. Structured data helps the engine understand hours and prices, it does not guarantee a box: the method is in how to add schema markup.

Free trial: the shortest form on the site
Name, phone, the class of interest and a time slot. Nothing else. Any extra question about weight, conditions or goals collects health data for no reason and cuts requests. The confirmation must arrive at once, with day, time and the name of whoever will welcome the person: the free trial is won or lost in that message.
Blocks from the catalogue
Four records for the page. Pricing 01 sets three plans side by side, to fill with joining fee, monthly and annual. Stats 01 shows floor figures and active classes, used only with real data. CTA 01 closes the page with the free trial and one button. Table 01 carries the weekly timetable with room and instructor.
The limitation
These blocks do not handle membership cards, turnstiles, class booking or renewals: they are pages. A timetable that updates itself needs a data source and a way to edit it, otherwise it stays a hand-written table. The block catalogue has no timetable category: the table has to be assembled, and the full block code sits in the Pro part.
Cost and timing
A single gym with timetable, prices, instructors and a free trial sits in the low thousands of euro when copy and photos are supplied. Time grows if the photos of the floor are old or the price list changes every season. The line that gets missed is who updates the timetable: if the agency does it, every change becomes an invoice. The picture is in what a website costs.
For the basic structure read what a company website needs, for the plans already counted the best pricing blocks, for the base comparison copy-paste or headless. If the gym does not show in local searches, you also need to get the site indexed by Google.
Frequently asked questions
What should a gym website have?
A class timetable in a table with room and instructor, prices with joining fee, monthly and annual, a free trial with a short form, instructors with certifications, the rules and a privacy notice.
Is a PDF timetable or a table better?
An HTML table. A PDF is awkward on a phone, does not get indexed and does not get updated. A table lets you post changes with a date and copy the timetable into a message.
Can I publish membership prices?
Yes, and you should. Publish the three parts, meaning joining fee, subscription and card, with contract length, what is included, cancellation and renewal. Hiding the price moves the argument to reception, where it costs more.
Can I ask for the medical certificate online?
No, not through a web form or ordinary email. The fitness certificate is health data: hand it in at the desk or over an encrypted channel, with explicit consent and a dedicated notice.
What does a gym website cost?
A few thousand euro for timetable, prices, instructors and a free trial, with copy and photos supplied. The recurring cost depends on who updates the timetable: if a studio does it weekly, a timetable the gym edits itself pays for itself.
